Apple News Expands Local News Offerings
Apple News will now offer its local news experience in three additional cities in the United States: Charlotte, Miami and Washington, DC Each experience is curated by the editors of Apple News and covers topics important to local communities, from openings to restaurants and real estate trends to major political decisions. Local news offerings in Apple News give readers access to top publications including Axios Charlotte, Charlotte Observer, Eater Miami, Miami Herald, DCist, Washingtonian, Washington Post, and more.

Apple News first featured curated local news experiences for the Bay Area, Houston, Los Angeles, New York, and San Francisco in 2020, and earlier this year added deals for Sacramento, San Antonio and San Diego. Every Thursday, Apple News editors host a “Read Locally” collection of the week’s top stories from local publications, available to all News users directly in the Today feed in the News app.
