Bauhaus launches its first NFT collection with cryptoartist Coldie
The big names in Gothic rock Bauhaus have announced their first NFT collection, made in collaboration with cryptoartist Coldie. The collection arrives Tuesday August 10 via Nifty Gateway.
The series includes three unique 3D NFTs. The first is described as a “stereoscopic 3D anaglyph collage” of the artwork that accompanied the band’s classic song, “Bela Lugosi’s Dead”. The second is a “decentralized 3D animation collage” of the members of the Bauhaus, which also incorporates a clip of “Bela Lugosi’s Dead” to create an NFT loop. And the third is a “decentralized 3D animation collage” that features photos of the Bauhaus, handwritten lyrics for “Bela Lugosi’s Dead” and a sample of the song to create an NFT loop.
The Bauhaus x Coldie NFT # 1 will be limited to 21 editions and will require red / cyan 3D glasses to enable the stereoscopic effect. NFT # 2 will be limited to 10 editions, and there will be only one edition of NFT # 3.
“We have… the ART of the 21st century,” Bauhaus said in a statement. ” It’s the future. It is now “
Coldie added: “The opportunity to collaborate with the Bauhaus was an easy decision as I see them as pioneers and influential music makers. It fits with how I found myself pioneering the crypto art and the NFT space. We both share a love for experimentation, taking risks with new ideas, as well as distressed images / photocopies. “
The collaboration will culminate with an “IRL Auction Night” on August 10 at the Bright Moments NFT Gallery in Venice Beach, Calif. (Attendees will receive 3D glasses to view the artwork).
