MediaTek announces the arrival of the new vivo S12 series with the SoC Dimensity 1200
Earlier this month, we saw a few reports of vivo’s new S12 line-up, including a leaked render and a spy photo. The smartphone has now been officially teased on Weibo by MediaTek’s grip and the chipmaker confirms that the smartphone will be powered by the Dimensity 1200 on the 6nm process.

The vivo S12 will be available in Standard and Pro variants. As in previous reports, the S12 Pro will have a large notch housing two selfie cameras. The first is a 50MP Samsung JN1 sensor with an 8MP ultra-wide shooter. The triple rear camera setup will be featured by a 108 MP main camera. The S12 Pro will be positioned as a portrait camera and target vivo offline markets.
The S12 Pro will have a FullHD + OLED display with curved edges – a first for the vivo S series – and an in-display fingerprint scanner. A 44W load should appear on the S12 Pro like its predecessor, as the 3C certification reveals.
The vivo S12 range will be announced before the end of December.
